i can see some point to this article. And it might happen actually.
But i think though that because the ps3 has a blu-ray player as standard, thats gonna put blu-ray players in the homes of millions anyway. And with the increase of HDTVs being bought, at least there's a lifeline (PS3) through the whole blu-ray fight. If people already have a blu-ray player, they are not gonna buy a HD-DVD player. And therefore will buy blu-ray movies and not HD-DVD.

Well, maybe it was the worst game on the list, but Ridge Racer 6 was a launch title for the Xbox 360.
Just about every console that's been released has had a ridge racer game as a launch title. So why is it suddenly bad that it's a ps3 launch title?

That game was so big that it needed one disc for the Gran Turismo mode, and one disc for the arcade mode. And there wasnt a single piece of cgi in that game
All bluray does is give developers freedom, with no restrictions at all = possibility of better games. Bluray is better than dvd in every way for gaming. Its a simple concept and i dont know why i have to explain it to you bLaDEstard

bLaDEstard listen, i know games like FF and MGS had multiple discs on the psone. But for example, if EACH of those discs were blu-ray, then EACH disc would be able to hold more detail, content etc. on them. And whats more, it would all be able to fit on one disc.
Besides not every game is suited to multiple discs. Imagine if in burnout, you had to change disc whenever you raced in another part of the world

I think the designers of the dreamcasts were a bit too influenced by the sony success, because it looks exactly like a slightly stretched playstation 1
i dont think the ps3 was late at all. The extra time allowed the ps3 to have the bluray included, games to be improved and more launch games to be released. And i dont think anyones complaining about the delay now,since we got like 3 months left.
Besides,if the ps3 is late,then so is the wii. Sony and Nintendo must have thought this was the best time to release the consoles

yeah, with my original xbox, cos it had a flat top, i used to rest my tv on top of my xbox. But i can't really do that with the ps3's curved top lol

the xbox was big, and it was a black box. About the least stylish thing in the world. And then the original xbox controller. Cough, a big circle, with an 'X' icon that took up a 1/3 of the controller
At least sony's always made good looking products, even if it is big. And yes, it does more things then the 360
my opinion:
although the ps3 is the same size as the original xbox, i think it looks alot nicer. I like the curved stylings of the ps3. It took a bit more design thought in it, then just designing a big, black box with an 'X' on top of it. And then giving it an almost circular controller. The original xbox was a freakin geometric nightmare
